Mgr. ThMgr. Daniel Štrobl
„I am naturally a curious person. I enjoy learning new things about the world around me and the people I meet. I’m glad to be a psychologist because it allows me to ask questions.“
Daniel studied psychosocial sciences at the Husitská Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague and psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University in Olomouc. He has completed numerous trainings and courses focused mainly on crisis intervention.
As a military psychologist, he closely collaborated with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic at the Center for Stress Research and the Center for Social Studies of the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army. He is primarily involved in psychodiagnostics, human behavior in stressful situations, crisis intervention, crisis management, and decision-making processes in situations of excessive stress and physical or psychological burden. He continues to work with the Ministry of Defense as an external lecturer at the Training and Doctrine Directorate in Vyškov, where he conducts courses for NATO personnel focused on negotiation, communication skills, and crisis intervention.
His new book, „Psychological Aspects of Killing,“ provides a deep and unique insight not only into the individual’s personality but also into the broader societal perception of these aspects.
I am delighted when I find out, even after some time, that something from my courses or coaching has helped people, and they are using it.
The perfect relaxation for me is spending time in the kitchen with quality ingredients, and a recipe for some complicated dish. Cooking is, in a way, a Zen affair, during which you realize that the journey is what matters most, as the goal is transient. If you have cooked well, the result of your efforts will quickly disappear as it is consumed, and you can start anew.
